I had the pleasure of photographing Ben & Kate's wedding day recently in Yorkshire.

As is usual with my style of photography, I started the day by capturing the 'getting ready' images. I started at Kate's parents house where all the bridesmaid's were. I love this part of the day as it makes for some great images with everyone excited and also a little nervous about the day ahead. Even the dog joined in for a quick portrait!

From then on, we made use of the beautiful surroundings of the couples wedding venue - Kings Croft Hotel - in Pontefract. This was my first time shooting at the venue and hopefully I will get the opportunity to photograph another wedding there soon. The venue was perfect as only a few short steps outside the venue were some fantastic rolling hills and scenery which made for some nice portraits for Ben & Kate.

A great day in all and even the weather held out!

Congratulations again Ben & Kate.

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Shona & Andy in the historic village of Saltaire, Yorkshire. We had fantastic weather, for a wedding in October!

After the preparation images at the start of the day, we made our way to the United Reformed Church at the bottom of the village. It was great to get shots of Shona walking to the church from her family home which is only a short distance away. The service was beautifully delivered by the Reverend Caroline Andrews.

After we completed the couple portrait session, it was again a short walk to the venue of Victoria Hall. From then on, it was a lot of laughter & the few odd tears that I captured as the party went on long into the night.

Congratulations again Shona & Andy!

\\\ Yorkshire Wedding Photographer \\ Paul & Katie

A couple of weeks ago, I headed up to the hills in Yorkshire to photograph the fun & beautiful wedding of Paul & Katie.

The venue was Another World Adventure Centre, which is an outdoor centre offering activities such as grass sledging & archery to name but a few. The guests both young & old certainly enjoyed trying everything out!

Before I arrived at the venue, I went to the home of Paul & Katie where Katie was preparing for her wedding day. All the girls were already busy getting ready & having the make-up applied by Nina. I took advantage of the couples beautiful garden by taking the wedding dress out in the sun to photograph the dress. After a morning spent at the home its was off to the venue.

The ceremony was held in the marquee & was filled with laughter & the odd tears from the couples guests. After the drinks reception I photographed the couple session in the landscape of the venue. We found some fantastic places to shoot & were fortunate that the weather held out!

After the wedding breakfast & the cake cutting, it was time for the evening reception where everyone let there hair down on the dance floor!

Congratulations again to Paul & Katie!

I recently shot this Pre Wedding Photography in the Yorkshire landscape with Danny & Mahreen.

On the day we had all the elements with us & against us! With rain & wind followed by sunshine. We made use of the moorlands above Saltaire & the rocks made for a great backdrop.

If you would like to book a Pre Wedding Photography session before your own wedding then just drop me a message. In the meantime you can see some of the images from the shoot below. Congratulations again Danny & Mahreen, it was a pleasure to photograph your Pre Wedding shoot.

\\\ Yorkshire Wedding Photographer \\ Kirsty & Jonathan \\ The Three Acres

I photographed the wedding of Kirsty & Jonathan last month in a small village in the beautiful Yorkshire landscape. The wedding was all about celebration & fun all day & I will certainly remember it this way!

I started the day as I always do by capturing the getting ready shots. I arrived at the couples home just as Kirsty got back from the hairstylist. Soon after we were joined by the rest of Kirsty's family including the couples son, Jamie. Jamie put on his favourite film 'The Lion King' & started to show me all his dance moves which you can see from the photographs below. You could tell he was excited for his Mum & Dad's big day already!

We then moved to the church of St Saviour's in Harden, a small & beautiful village church. I met Jonathan there who didn't appear too nervous & within ten minutes the service was under way. As you can see from the images there was lots of smiles & laughter throughout the service too! After the service, all the guests including the couple hopped onto the vintage bus & made the short journey to the reception at The Three Acres.

The venue is set upon the hills & has great views of the landscape all the way round. Kirsty had tipped me off that as the guests started to eat the wedding breakfast, a live performer would come out as a suprise. It certainly was a Freddie Mercury Tribute act called Joey Linden, jumped & stood on tables whilst belting out Queen's hit's throughout the afternoon. Everyone loved this suprise & really joined in. It made a great change for me too as normally at the wedding breakfast I just let everyone enjoy the food & I have a little break!

We then had a small portrait session with group shots & couple shots. The weather was clear but quite cold so I had to work quickly to capture everything. Once we all got warm back inside the venue then the band had set up for the evening. Kirsty & Jonathan got the dancing underway with the first dance to a Mumford & Sons song played really well by the band. After that it was everyone on the dancefloor where I stayed to capture all the action for an hour.

I had so much fun shooting this wedding & the day seemed to fly by as it was filled with laughter. Kirsty & Jonathan are a great couple & it was a pleasure to be part of the day & capture all the great moments. All the best guys & I hope your marriage is filled with more great moments!
